Welcome to The Flying Leopard!
My name is Mary and I’m a Personal Travel Planner or PTP for short.
A what I hear you ask?
In Catherine Tate ‘speak’……
“Right, alright love, let’s crack on, shall we? The normal, plain as day name for a person whose job it is getting all your travel bits and bobs sorted is what I call a ‘Travel Consultant’, or sometimes a ‘Travel Advisor’. But darling, you’re talking about more than just your regular “get you from A to B” service, aren’t you? What you’ve got here is more like a ‘Fancy -Pants Holiday Arranger’ or ‘Personal Globetrotting Guru’. ‘Cos when you’re dealing with all that luxury, jetting about from here to Timbuktu, someone’s got to know their stuff, right? So, let’s give it a name that fits the bill, something like a ‘Personal Travel Planner’. That sounds about right, doesn’t it? Got that high-end, la-di-da vibe and shows they’re not just a one trick pony. Bit more upmarket if you know what I mean.”
I can organise and book anything from an overnight stay to the holiday of your dreams, the only thing you need to do is pack and have a great time.

explore in more detailA bit more about me!
I have always loved “The World” and excelled at Geography …much to the surprise of my teacher, I got an A @ A-Level! As a child my summer holidays were spent in Mayo and Galway on the West coast of Ireland visiting my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sunny days in England brought day trips to the seaside either in North Wales or along the Fylde coast in the NW of England.
In 1986, my 1st trip abroad was a girlie holiday to Malia in Crete, and so began my love affair with Greece and particularly Crete. After another 4 holidays to Malia, I upped sticks and moved there for a summer job on the beach, I ended up staying for a further 6 years in Amoudara just outside Crete’s capital, Heraklion.
I moved back to Cheshire in 1995 and thanks to my job in the wine industry I had the opportunity to travel to South Africa, Portugal, France, and Spain’s amazing wine regions.
I enjoyed traveling as a solo traveller, or alternatively joining fellow solo travellers on organised long-haul adventures, I have been lucky enough to visit Egypt, India, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Malysia.
In 2011 as I single parent, I started travelling with my son and we had great adventures on city breaks to London, Rome, New York, Barcelona, Belfast, and Dublin. Holidays included visiting friends in Holland, the Isle of Man, St Andrews in Scotland, and Anglesey. Further afield holidays to Santorini, Corfu, Rhodes & Crete followed, as well as our 1st cruise experience to the Eastern Mediterranean in Christmas 2019, Bethlehem on Christmas Eve along with the friends we made on-board were highlights of the trip.
More trips with friends were possible once my son was on school residentials…single parents must seize every opportunity!! 3 days in Barcelona, 5 nights in Marrakesh, and a week’s cruise around the UK, just some of the escapes I enjoyed. Weekends away in Anglesey, Chester, or the Lake District with girlfriends to celebrate milestone birthdays, the order of the day…hot tubs, saunas and BBQs, and evenings full of laughter all washed down with fizz!
So, with my passion for travel and adventure, and my love of researching & organising, The Flying Leopard was born!
I have over 30 years of experience that I can put to good use, so whether that’s an overnight business trip, your next summer holiday, a cruise, or a trip of a lifetime, to a weekend away, a visit to Legoland or Disney World, or just organising an airport hotel or transfers let The Flying Leopard do the planning for you!
